Unveiling the School of Evangelization: Making Missionary Disciples Across the Diocese
School of Evangelization
We are excited to announce the launch of the School of Evangelization in the Diocese of Orange, a transformative initiative designed to equip individuals to become missionary disciples, spreading the Gospel and contributing to the ongoing eucharistic revival. Our inaugural retreat is scheduled for March 2, 2024, marking the commencement of an empowering journey for candidates seeking to deepen their faith and evangelization skills.
The School of Evangelization takes a comprehensive approach to faith formation, offering sessions in both English and Spanish, ensuring accessibility for a diverse and vibrant community. As we aim to fulfill Jesus’s commandment to “go and make disciples of all nations,” the school embraces the universal nature of the Church, fostering an environment where participants can connect, share, and learn.
The process begins with a period of candidacy, based on nominations from parish pastors or administrators. This thoughtful discernment phase allows us to identify individuals committed to the mission of making intentional disciples. Following the retreat, cohorts will kick off the first week of May 2024, delving into sessions that encompass the rich teachings of the Church, blending theological depth with practical evangelization skills.
The School of Evangelization aligns with the broader diocesan efforts for eucharistic revival, reinforcing the significance of Christ’s real presence in our lives. Through prayer, study, and community, participants will not only deepen their understanding of the Eucharist but also actively contribute to its revival, embodying the essence of missionary discipleship.
Join us on this transformative journey as we embark on a mission to spread the Good News and revive the eucharistic spirit within our communities. Together, we strive to answer the call to discipleship and share the love of Christ with all nations.
