Theology on Tap OC – Reverence before the True Presence
Advent is a great opportunity to deeply ponder the central tenet of the Christian faith: that God showed up in the FLESH. The Gospels account many times in which reverence became the instinctive disposition whenever one authentically opened himself to the power of Jesus Christ.
Reverence, the fear of the Lord, and awe are all underrated in our modern approach to worship. For December’s Theology on Tap, Fr. Eugene Lee, the pastor of St. Thomas More – Irvine, will speak on how a person’s willingness to offer deep reverence to Christ can be the key to transformative worship, especially worship before the Lord in the Eucharist.
