What are some of the factors that led to your decision to enter the seminary and discern the question of a vocation to the priesthood?

The factors that led me to decide to enter the seminary and discern my vocation were the example of life of one priest friend of mine, my mother’s spiritual life, and two questions that I made to myself – Are you happy? What is the purpose of your life. Those questions gave me the correct perspective of what I was looking for in my life.

Who are some of the people who influenced your decision to enter the seminary? What is it about them that assisted you?

Msgr. Francisco Sarabia has been the person who has most influenced me in my decision to enter the Seminary. He has been my spiritual father and my friend but more than that, he has been a living example of a holy priest. His life made me realize that I could be a priest and be happy.

Along with him, St. Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer has been another example of how I can integrate all the aspects of my life and, in the midst of ordinary life, pursue holiness.

Describe the moment that you knew you wanted to take the next steps to become a priest?

I remembered that I was in my office. It had been a long morning with a lot of stress. I closed the door and I asked my assistant not to be disturb. I was so tired, so I was resting for a moment. Then, I saw the Crucifix that I used to have on my desk. I contemplated for a moment and prayed to resume my duties. But, in that time of prayer, one question came to my mind: What are you waiting to give me your life?
I continued praying and I knew that I had to quit my job and entered the Seminary to start my vocacional process.
