With the purchase, renovation and upcoming dedication of Christ Cathedral in Garden Grove, Christ Our Savior Cathedral Parish has been renamed as Christ Our Savior Catholic Parish.  A new era has begun for this young parish with the challenge of building a new church that answers to the needs of a diverse and growing community of faith. The Christ Our Savior groundbreaking comes at a time when many Catholic parishes across the U.S. are merging or closing altogether. The groundbreaking starts the construction of the long-awaited church building by this parish first established in 2005 by Most Rev. Tod Brown, Bishop Emeritus, with founding pastor Msgr. Michael McKiernan. The parish is currently worshiping in modular building that is inadequate in size for the growing Catholic community.   About the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange With 1.3 million Catholics, 57 parishes, five Catholic Centers and 41 schools, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange is one of the largest, most diverse and fastest-growing faith communities in the United States. The Diocese empowers Catholics across Orange County to have an active life of faith that is integrated and woven into the fabric of their daily lives through the community and sacramental life of the Church. Under the leadership of Bishop Kevin Vann, the Diocese works to establish and support dynamic, vibrant parishes and schools, and welcome all to live the Gospel with faith, joy, charity and unity. Christ Cathedral, the spiritual home of the Diocese, will be dedicated in July 2019. Learn more about the Diocese of Orange at https://rcbo.staging.wpengine.com
