Raises $570,000 for Catholic elementary tuition assistance Garden Grove, Calif. (April 8, 2019)—Most Rev. Kevin Vann, Bishop of Orange, honored two Orange County business leaders this year during The Orange Catholic Foundation’s 17th annual Conference on Business & Ethics. The conference was held April 3 at Hotel Irvine and raised more than $570,000 for Catholic elementary tuition assistance. Tanya L. Domier, Chief Executive Officer of Advantage Solutions, and Joe Perricone, Chairman of the Board of Perricone Juices Inc., were recognized with the Bishop’s Award for Exemplary Business Integrity, which pays tribute to Catholic business leaders for their accomplishments and personal dedication to ethical business practices. “Tanya and Joe were acknowledged because they apply their faith in every aspect of their lives,” Bishop Vann said. “These exemplary leaders maintain the obligations of their chosen professions while continuing to lead their lives as Christ has shown us.” The Farmers & Merchants Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to the Segerstrom Family for their profound impact on Orange County. This year’s Conference on Business & Ethics was dedicated in honor and memory of the late Thomas E. Larkin Jr. who passed away in the fall of 2018. His son, Thomas Larkin III, was present and said a few words to open the conference and announce a generous $1 million gift from his parents’ charitable trust to the Bishop Kevin W. Vann Marian Alliance Endowment Fund, a permanent fund that supports tuition for students at three of the Marian Alliance Schools in Santa Ana: St. Anne, St. Joseph and School of our Lady. In addition, contributors, sponsors and other attendees gave $570,000, which includes a record-setting $165,000 for the Sponsor our Student program raised on the day of the event. The net proceeds from the 2019 Conference will provide tuition assistance for approximately 380 students. The Conference on Business & Ethics is a premier event in Orange County where a faith-based community of influential business, religious, academic, and philanthropic leaders gathers to share their commitment to ethical best practices in their daily lives. Actor Neal McDonough, who plays the role of General James Harding in the History Channel’s “Project Blue Book,” delivered the keynote address.
