Garden Grove, Calif. (March 4, 2019) Most Rev. The conference, will be on April 3 at Hotel Irvine from 7:30-11:30 a.m. Tanya L. Domier, Chief Executive Officer of Advantage Solutions, and Joe Perricone, Chairman of the Board of Perricone Juices Inc., are being recognized with the Bishop’s Award for Exemplary Business Integrity, which pays tribute to accomplishments and personal dedication to ethical business practices. “Tanya and Joe are being acknowledged because they apply their faith in every aspect of their lives,” Bishop Vann said. “These exemplary leaders maintain the obligations of their chosen professions while continuing to lead their lives as Christ has shown us.” The Farmers & Merchants Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to the Segerstrom Family for their profound impact on Orange County. The Conference on Business & Ethics is a premier event in Orange County where a faith-based community of influential business, religious, academic, and philanthropic leaders gathers to share their commitment to ethical best practices in their daily lives. The annual conference also serves as a forum for Orange County business leaders to raise funds that provide financial aid for students in the Diocese of Orange who desire but otherwise cannot afford a high-quality Catholic education. Last year, the conference raised nearly half a million dollars for Catholic elementary tuition assistance. Neal McDonough to keynote; Matt Maher as musical guest Actor Neal McDonough who currently plays the role of General James Harding in the History Channel’s “Project Blue Book” will deliver this year’s keynote address. In addition to his role in the upcoming second season of the Kevin Costner TV series “Yellowstone,” McDonough has had roles in Steven Spielberg’s “Band of Brothers,” and “Minority Report,” Clint Eastwood’s “Flags of Our Fathers” and “Captain America: The First Avenger.” In 2012, he won a Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Series, Miniseries or Television Film, for his role in the FX Network’s “Justified.” Contemporary Christian music recording artist Matt Maher is this year’s musical guest and emcee. Since his major label debut in 2008, Maher has written and produced nine solo albums. He also has been nominated for nine Grammy Awards. In 2015, he received the Songwriter of the Year award at the GMA Dove Awards. The 2019 Conference on Business & Ethics is dedicated in honor of the late Thomas E. Larkin Jr., who died July 28, 2018. Larkin’s vision and tenacity helped transform Los Angeles-based Trust Company of the West (TCW) Group into a global giant. A beloved husband, father, and grandfather, his generosity as a philanthropist, civic leader, made a difference in countless lives in Los Angeles, Orange County and beyond. He believed that education was the essential foundation for success and that everyone deserved a good one. He was intimately involved with the University of Notre Dame’s Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) which has had a positive influence on the lives of more than 180,000 students throughout the United States, including schools and students at the Diocese of Orange. The Conference on Business & Ethics is a key part of Orange Catholic Foundation’s overall mission to create endowment funds, nurture planned giving, raise funds, and encourage stewardship to support all aspects of the Catholic faith in Orange County. It is an honor to bring the values of faith, integrity, and service above self together with powerful keynote presentations while raising money for Catholic schools at the same time. This event advances the mission for Catholic schools in our diocese to be available, accessible, and affordable to students of all social and economic strata by providing grants to our schools for those who require tuition assistance.
